As I mentioned on my index page, I am a freelance writer. I am also a poet (although not a very good one).
Unfortunately, I have not sold much of my work as of yet. I have been published
in various small press journals and newsletters. As far as my poetry goes, I have had one poem published in Cappers. As far as my nonfiction goes, most recently I have been
a regular contributer to The Old Cowboy Picture Show, a newsletter
dedicated to B Westerns (look for its link on my links page). For
the past few years I have been working on a book called Imaginative
Television: the Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, and Spy Series of the
Sixties. Imaginative Television has proven to be a rather mammoth work,
however, so I have decided to treat the spy dramas of the Sixties in a
separate work to be called Spy TV. Below are some samples
from that work, as well as some other writing I've done in
the past. I hope you enjoy them (especially if you're a publisher).
Danger Man/Secret Agent
(Two articles from Spy TV on the British spy series
of the Sixties, often considered a prequel to The Prisoner.)
The Invaders
(From my book on Imaginative Television, a piece
on the Sixties series about alien invaders.)
The Monkees
(From my book Imaginative Television.)
My Living Doll
(From my book Imaginative Television, a segment
on the 1964 sitcom starring Julie Newmar)
The Western on Television
(From a book on Western movies which I never finished
because, well, there are TOO many books about Western movies.)
Death: a Fact of Life
(This is an article on suicide I wrote while I was still
in college.)
